TRAINING & TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE : Since 1977, Small and rural communities have relied on local/on-site technical assistance and training for compliance with the myriad of federal EPA regulations, avoiding EPA fines, and operating drinking water and wastewater supplies. According to small and rural communities, EPA-funded local initiatives are the most effective environmental protection efforts for drinking water & wastewater, ground water, source water, and compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act. Small communities want to ensure quality water and stay in compliance—rural water provides them the shared technical resources to do it.
The HRWA's EPA TTA Program is committed to focusing on providing Water Distribution Systems Operation and Water Treatment Plant Operation Certification Exam Review training to our Hawaii Operators. This focus is essential to supporting our Operators in both passing their exams, but also growing in this industry. This training allows our Hawaii Community to feel confident that our drinking water is safe and operated by knowledgeable and highly-skilled operators. The EPA TTA Program also provides training in Lead & Copper Rule, AWIA, and Sanitary Surveys. If you or your system is interested in any of our training, please call or email the HRWA at 808.315.8925 or firstname.lastname@example.org
