The HRWA is excited to put together a Fee-Based Service. The HRWA's core mission is to provide our rural small system free services through programs funded by USDA-RD and EPA (see these programs under the "Services" tab). For some systems or services that are not eligible under these program guidelines, we are excited to be able to offer them at a low-cost. Discounts are offered to our System Members. See full Fee-Based Service Schedule
Services available include:
LEAK DETECTION, LINE LOCATION & VALVE LOCATION
HRWA performs leak detection surveys to identify potential water leaks and increased water loss percentages. We utilize portable hand-held leak survey monitors, metallic water line tracing and magnetic valve box location equipment. This equipment will provide the system with a water audit to assist with unaccounted-for water.
PRESSURE DATA LOGGERS
Determining whether a customer has low pressure or low flow problems can be difficult. HRWA has computerized pressure data loggers that can monitor water system pressure zones throughout your distribution system to help narrow down the customer's concerns.
PUMP VIBRATION ANALYSIS
HRWA to perform pump vibration testing to provide operators with a baseline to troubleshoot possible issues with the pump. After gathering the data, we will provide a report of each pump describing the pump conditions will be provided.
SMOKE TESTING
Smoke testing is performed to identify areas of inflow/infiltration where unwanted water may be entering the collection system and leading to possible sewer backups. Smoke-filled air is forced into sanitary sewer lines and other connections using smoke testing equipment and liquid smoke.
ULTRASONIC FLOW METER
The ultrasonic flow meter is highly versatile, self-contained, portable transit-time system with options and accessories to meet all your liquid-flow transducers. This unit measures flow rate through metal, plastic, or even concrete-lined pipes without penetrating the pipe wall.
HYDRANT FLOW TESTING
HRWA to perform hydrant flow testing to provide accurate gallon per minute flow rates on fire hydrants, static pressures and residual pressures on fire hydrants. After gathering the data, we will provide a report of each hydrant describing the flow conditions. This information will be a tremendous asset to the local fire department.
LOAD BANK TESTING
HRWA to perform load bank testing on generators to provide operator with information regarding generator load. After gathering the data, we will provide a report of each generator describing the conditions of generator. This information will be a tremendous asset to maintaining generator.
